The Anneliese Beanie Crochet PATTERN | Super Bulky Hat Tutorial | Digital Download PDF File | ChunkyBeanie Pattern

The Anneliese Beanie is special to me - it’s named for my daughter. This is my first super bulky beanie design, and I am sure it won’t be my last! It works up lightning quick and the fit is stellar. It looks fantastic in Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick, Lion Brand Hometown USA, Big Twist Natural Blend, Yarn Bee Colorplay, Malabrigo Rasta, and Indie Hand-Dyed yarns.

A NOTE ABOUT MALABRIGO RASTA (or any 90 yard or smaller skein), I strongly encourage you to have two skeins. This beanie can be made with one 90 yard skein, but JUST barely! Weigh your skein before beginning to be sure you have a minimum of 150 grams. If you are shorted a little wieight/yardage (which happens some times), you’ll not have enough to finish. You’ll also need to ensure you use a tight tension - which will result in a very fitted beanie. I have even included a second decrease section that uses a bit less yarn than the original decreases to help squeeze this beanie out of a single 90 yard skein. In short - it can be done, but I strongly recommend you have two skeins! You can always use the leftover to make a matching child or toddler sized beanie!

This pattern includes sizes Newborn through Adult!

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Do you accept custom requests/orders?

    Yes! I welcome custom orders!
Please note that payment is due at the time the order is placed.

Do you really make everything in your shop?

I sure do! If it is listed in my shop, I made it with my own two hands.

If an item says OOAK/One of a Kind, is it REALLY OOAK?

Believe it or not, yes. This typically applies to items made with hand-dyed yarns and/or heavily variegated yarns. Often times an item can be made to look similar, but if I list it as one of a kind, I am certain I cannot ever duplicate that item exactly.

I purchased a pattern and can't download it. Now what?

It's important to note that the Etsy App does not support downloads. In order to access your pattern, please log in to your Etsy account using a web browser. Once you've logged in, go to Your Account (your picture at the top right of the screen) and select Purchases from the drop down menu. There you should be able to find your purchase from me and the download button next to it.

Can I sell items I make using your patterns?

    Yes! Absolutely! Of course!

Well written and fast to work up. Thank you.

This beanie is very pretty. My crochet skills might not be quite good enough for it. When I reached out to the seller for help they responded right away and provided lots of help!

    Lovely, well-written pattern. Thank you!

Really great pattern!! I’ve never made anything besides amigurumi and I was able to read the instructions and watch the videos to make this! I also had a question about the yarn I was using and the shop owner was very helpful and responded quickly! I already bought another pattern from her shop to try another hat design. Highly recommend!

    Looking forward to making this!
