Bowtie (I used worsted weight yarn):
CH 7.
Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook and in remaining CHs, CH 1, turn.
Rows 2 - 5: SC in each ST across, CH 1, turn.
SC around the bow, placing 2 SC in each corner. SLST to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.
FSC 5.
Wrap your FSC piece around the center of your bowtie and sew it in place.
FSC until you have a piece long enough to wrap around your penguin's neck fairly tightly. Sew one end of this piece to the back of your bowtie, position the bowtie around your penguin's neck and sew the other end to the back of the bowtie.
Alternatively, for a removable bowtie: sew the bowtie to the center of the FSC piece. Sew a button to one end of the piece. The other end should wrap easily aroud the button.
Enjoy!
